This On Job Training gives an opportunity to get hands on experience on working in the flight dispatch department of Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest Low Cost Carrier.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing the pre-flight duties as the cabin crew prepare for the flight.
  • Providing the pilot with the advised route for an individual flight.
  • Assessing weather reports and informing the pilot of any hazards.
  • Reviewing aircraft weight, fuel loads and cargo loads.
  • General duties to ensure the aircraft is safe and ready to fly.
  • Reporting to air traffic control and airport staff about departure times, and after departure, providing reports on aircraft status and predicted arrival times.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a high school graduation or higher education certificate.
  • Should have completed GCAA certified dispatcher course or in possession of a valid dispatcher license from accepted authority.
  • Acceptable English communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work in shifts for the entire period of 90 days of training
  • Sound knowledge of MS office & MS windows
  • Sound knowledge of mathematics and physics.

Period of Training:

  • 90 days (Full Time)

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance on ABY and 3rd party aircrafts during A and C checks and unscheduled inputs up to or exceeding Air Arabia GCAA standard.
  • Regularly monitor the aircraft defect status sheet and ensures defects are cleared during maintenance without causing operation delay while adhering to the required standard.

  • Holder of a valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or ICAO state member licensed type with recent experience of (6) months within last 2 years and with A320/CFM56-5 type rating endorsed.
  • Minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance out of which 2 years as A320 certifying engineer without any limitation/ restrictions (having CRS).

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements an IT Infrastructure, operations and support strategy that takes into account the Group infrastructure requirements and aligns with overall business needs. Develops action plans to implement the strategy and manages internal and external infrastructure teams, and initiatives to deliver against the action plans.
  • Develops strategies and implements processes for monitoring, measuring and continuous improvement of service availability. Categorises information and communication systems by service tiers and ensures service levels and availability are committed in relation to the tiers. Forecasts demand and capacity requirements for budget planning purposes.
  • Ensures that a catalogue of available services is created and maintained. Agrees service level objectives with business, ensures these are cost-effective and meet business needs. Negotiates underpinning contracts with external vendors and ensures they support the committed service level objectives. Provides services to business areas by managing infrastructure components, as well as multiple service providers. Ensures that service delivery is monitored effectively and implements actions to maintain or improve levels of service. Reviews service delivery with business to ensure agreed targets are met.
  • Ensures continuity of all IT services is planned and designed in collaboration with other IT functions and in alignment with business continuity plans. Ensures risks associated with critical tier systems are prioritized for resolution. Co-ordinates planning, designing and testing of maintenance procedures and contingency plans to address exposure to risk and ensures that agreed levels of continuity are maintained.
  • Ensures that technology components in the IT environment of the Group provide the required level of stability, reliability, capacity, flexibility, scalability and continuity to meet business needs. Plans and drives preventative, perfective and adaptive maintenance of all IT services.
  • Takes responsibility for major aspects of infrastructure (compute, storage, network, end points etc.) specification and design for the Group. Produces design policies and standards that take into account requirements for capacity, operations and security.
  • Explores and assesses new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, methods and techniques. Evaluates likely impact of these to the overall IT environment of the Group and advises the Group regarding adoption of these technologies.
  • Owns transition of projects to production and lays down acceptance criteria for service transition. Ensures project outputs are fit for use in operation. Actively engages with technical experts and project managers to promote awareness and compliance with service transition quality plans and processes. Sets the release policy for the organisation in the context of both development and production/ operations. Provides authorisation for critical release activity and acts as the point of escalation.
  • Manages the Group’s configuration management system and ensures that processes are in place for consistent classification and management of CIs, and for verification and audit of configuration records. Ensures that all changes to assets and services are accurately controlled and recorded. Sets policy for change management in production and test environments. Ensures effective control and treatment of risk to availability, performance and security of business services impacted.
  • Manages processes and resources to provide IT services support – including business applications, infrastructure and devices. Advises other IT teams and business on application infrastructure related matters e.g. licensing, backups, disaster recovery etc. Ensures that all requests for support and incidents are dealt with according to agreed standards and procedures. Analyses metrics and reports on performance to business periodically. Ensures that problems in IT services are anticipated, investigated and resolved.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Technology/Computer Science/Engineering
  • ITIL Certified

The selected individual establishes and executes an information security and risk framework that includes policies, standards and processes to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Air Arabia Group’s information assets and manage risks to the Group arising out of Information Technology. Develops an overall information security and compliance strategy, and recommends appropriate controls and tools.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops, manages, communicates, ensures adoption of, and adherence to the corporate Information Security framework (consisting of policies, standards etc.). Policies should be based on international standards (e.g. ISO27001), legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI DSS). Reviews and actions any exception to policies and standards based on impact.
  • Ensures that information security strategy is aligned to Group strategy and is appropriate to business needs and information control requirements. Monitors environmental and market trends and pro-actively assesses impact to business strategies and advises necessary security controls in collaboration with experts in other functions e.g. legal, technical support, architecture.
  • Directs and guides internal technical teams and/ or external suppliers to ensure that all information assets are well protected. Acts as an expert information security advisor to the Group and takes ownership for all Information Security initiatives.
  • Defines and implements a risk management framework for the Group to ensure that IT risks to the Group are managed to acceptable levels. Ensures there is sufficient visibility at the appropriate management level for every risk – its impact and cost of mitigation.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of a disaster recovery set up for IT services, in collaboration with business continuity, technical teams and external service providers.
  • Co-ordinates and ensures performance of risk, threat, and periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on the IT environment and manages the remediation of identified risks and vulnerabilities as required for effective protection of information assets and/ or regulatory compliance.
  • Develops, maintains, and tests a security incident response plan that ensures all incidents are reported, documented, and resolved. Manages all security incidents and manages internal and/ or external teams to respond to, resolve and recover from incidents.
  • Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate levels of access are maintained, including investigation of permission violations and authorizing the removal of access rights as needed.
  • Researches information security related suppliers and products, and maintains a broad understanding of the environment, to inform and develop strategies to source services from the external market.
  • Ensures all aspects of security and risk management are performed in compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Certification relevant to Information/ IT Security/ Audit/ Governance e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, CGEIT
  • Minimum 10 years in IT and 5 years in Information Security
  • Internet and network security products and platforms, application and infrastructure security assurance, security incident and operations management
  • Advanced knowledge of information security principles and practices, including security risk assessment standards, risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability assessment, and security frameworks
